Default cy-vmd9000u button removal

I've been using this radio for years:

http://products.howstuffworks....w.htm

The rocker switch for the volume up/down is sticking on the down side. I've popped the black peice out of the middle trying to figure out how to "un-stick" this without breaking the button or the radio. Anybody have any experience with this unit?

The "face plate" will have to be removed from the HU, it will be connected to the HUs "guts" with a multi-wire ribbon lead that will unplug at at least one end.

You will then have to remove the circuit board from the face plate, careful there may be "loose" parts.

Once the circuit board is removed you will have access to the buttons and switches, if it is a surface mount switch, [small push button switch mounted to the circuit board] you may find it is "collapsed" and unfixable and will have to be replaces, if it is just the plastic "rocker switch" in the face plate, you should be able to remove and clean it up. 94

Damn man, thanks a bunch.

I'm going to pull it out, pull the face plate off and try to remove the button. If it's more broken than that, it may be going to a repair shop. I suck at soldering and electrical work.
