a little piece of rock somehow got between my front caliper and the protruding part of the rotor causing a loud squeal when rolling and scraping/grinding noise when braking. i had to pull over, jack the car up, and take the wheel off

How did that happen? just imagining the sound makes it irritating! anything damaged by the little rock?

yeah, many times when i go up in MT.

 

luckily no damage, i drove it like 4 blocks then worried that if i go any further something would get damaged.

the street that i drove on just had its potholes fixed so you can imagine hundreds of little rocks being kicked up into the wheel well

 

dam dat sucks man..never happened to me..

 

something similar happened to me a few weeks ago, but it was a small piece of a stick rather than a rock.

good thing there was no damage
