I have been thinking about going back to the stock front and cant make up my mind. I originally got the jdm front end 3 years ago when it was the new fad but everyone has it now. I have 3 people willing to trade that are kinda local and i am really thinking of doing but would like some more opinions to persuade me in the right direction. I mean i still love the jdm front and would def keep if i had a cw r but py seems like a love or hate look. Let me know what you guys think

i say do it! only reason i would have a jdm front on, would be if came out of the factory that way...

 

I don't think it matters since it is already looks so chop shopped and not in stock form already.

 

I think that JDM front looks good, I have no problems with keeping it

But that K-series.....that's the problem I see....

 

If its a JDM ITR then i love the front end, but the conversion unless badly wrecked just doesn't appeal to me to be honest.

I love my USDM front and won't be hacking it up, that just my opinion though.

I concur though.

 

i think it would be a waste of money. Spend that money to paint your front end and clean up the engine bay. If you had original b18c5 then it would be a different story but you got a k20 set up nothing is original.

They did come from the factory that way, just not here. What about putting a Mugen wing on? They didn't come from the factory that way, so we should not change it?

i have yet to see another jdm front on the road since i got mine in Feb. the only other one ive seen was at jeff evans car show, and of course my friend's RDITR (real deal itr). i see some on craigslist here and there, and they always stand out. i say keep it. paint it yellow. you already have an extraordinary set-up, why spend more money and downgrade so-to-speak from what you already have?

Why would he be downgrading if he put his US front back on? Is it bc it wouldn't be JDM anymore? Use caution when wording your sentences.

Totally agree with this.

Both front ends are great. I don't consider any of them an upgrade over the other.

USDM w/ USMD front, and JDM w/ JDM front. The way it should be.

since you already have the front on it, just pay to get it painted and keep it, no sense in changing and doing more welding drilling etc

as long as you like the front keep it, i mean you already did the dreaded k-swap ha ha

 

I lOVE Both frontends but since u already have the front u might as well finish her.

 

USDM front end on USDM car is where its at (especially 97's)... no need to take off a beautiful front already
I say put the usdm front back on there, well worth it in the long run.
If you like the Yellow JDM front look get an Rx.. Now thatd be badazz
