Early review of the Action Clutch, currently being sold by H-T member Rocket.
this is an early review of the Action Clutch that is being sold by Rocket on this board. i bought this to replace the POS clutchmaster i had that couldnt even hold my all motor setup. the clutchmaster was new too, and in contrast to the action clutch looks like a POS also.
pedal pressure is close to stock
the clutch holds much better than stock
engagement is smooth and much better than stock and the CM
overall i want to say thanks to Rocket and hondasaver.com for this clutch. it is really nice and the customer service was top notch. order monday, paid on wednesday, and got the clutch on friday all the way from the west coast. price was 370 which is 75 off of the normal price and shipping was free 2-day by usps priority mail which is great because there was no waiting a week for ups/fedex to deliver. if you need a new clutch for the ITR i would definitely look into this setup. havent tracked it yet, so that will be the final verdict, but as of now this is the best clutch i have owned so far. just my 2 cents for you guys that might need a new clutch.

"the action clutch consists basically of this:
ACT reinforced pressure plate
ClutchNet 6 spring disc with reinforced springs and more rivots"
THIS makes no sense at all, ACTION makes their clutch discs and pp, not ACT or clutchnet.

That action one is about the = to a CM stage 4. I have had 2 stage 5's 1 stage 4 and a 6 puck just like the action. never had any problems with any of them. I run a clutchmasters stage 5 now and to be honest, i think i liked the 6 puck springless one i had the best.
Why did you run a stage one with the setup you have? I think its unfair to bash CM for destroying a stage one with that kind of setup.
On a side note, I have done business with Rocket and he is a very professional and knowlegable person.

stage 1 was recommended, so that shows you how much CM customer service knows and then went to stage 3 and it sucked too for the most part. this action clutch is money so far, i love it. great pricing and excellent customer service. yes rocket is a nice guy too
Thanks for the review Adam. It's good to know that some of you guys are getting your money's worth when it comes to clutches.
Here's a pic of the clutch he has.
Our pressure plates are FCC OEM units specially modifed by us to handle more abuse.

i must have lost my mind when i was listening to him explain everything.
Clarification
Our pressure plates are based off of either FCC or Daiken/Exedy.
Our disc are bare top of the line ClutchNet discs which we install the high quality sintered iron Miba pads.
This can be confusing.
