How can I tell the difference between b16a & GSR cams?
I just picked up a set from a friend for $100 for my built turbo motor. Its a stock b16a head and built gsr block @1 bar.. I was told it wouls make a decent difference power wise.
I pulled them off my buddy's stock gsr that he had bought. They have PR3 cam gears? Should'nt it be P72's? How can i tell if they are really gsr's? Specs? noticable view difference?

K, they came from a stock b18c1 motor... they have pr3 cam gears.. they have the same 2 grooves on the wider part next to the journals as the 92,93 gsr?? the exhaust end looks the same as 92 93 gsr.. but the intake, at the base of the slot for the dizzy has 1 groove .. the 92 93 pic does not.. can any one help identify these? I have no clue how to upload a pic.
To upload photos you have to get/sign up with a free image hosting site like photobucket; put your pictures on there; resize them so they aren't humungous and then just copy and paste the image code and that should be it.
this blows.... I have the image in photobucket but it wont copy and paste...what ever, I know there not b16a's but wtf are they? what cam gears should they have?????? does anyone have a pic of there own gsr cams to compare from a b18c1????
IMO for $100 you should have saved some more and gone with just an ITR intake. Unless you're making 3-400+ whp, you won't see a big difference. Switching tuners could actually make a bigger difference...
Btw if you right-click the picture, copy the url, then paste it here, it should work. Otherwise they should give you a thumbnail link option. I use imageshack.us > *.
