you can install it yourself. if you have a nice pair of scissors or a dremel and some tape you can install it yourself.

you just remove the weather stripping, test fit the roof, trim, glue and reinstall the weather stripping

i could not think of a bigger waste of money then a piece of carbon fiber to stick to your roof. that would make your car heavier thus cancelling out any reason to have carbon fiber on your car. and im willing to guess that even though you are doing a group buy it will still be $300+ for that ****

first thing I come across is some dude that wants mad posts under his username.

If you think this product is useless, think again. Getting rid of a 70lb sunroof at the highest point on a car is totally worth it, plus you can sell your whole sunroof assembly.
where do u get off shedding weight at the highest point of the car worthless? keep your negative comments to yourself.

i like personally would want a roof cap... but realistically, people don't buy these to save weight but because they like the way it looks. .

 

Cutting the roof out and putting this in place makes perfect sense, if you've got a roll cage.

And even if you dont, I'd rather have most of my roof cut out and have an aluminium or CF cross brace up there with the CF roof on top. CF isn't just for show, and though most think it is, (which is stupid at best) you could argue that wet CF isn't as strong, and youre right, it isn't. But how many people here can afford pre-impregnated CF ?( hopefully somebody knows what that is)

Is the CF sunroof plug more functional for a DD? yes, but dont knock this for what it is. I have a CF hood that is at best 2 layers of CF and a small amount of fibreglass, its maybe 7 lbs total and its solid as a ****. Plus these are easier to find and requires no welding and costs almost as much as the plugs.

And the weight you drop from getting rid of the steel and that stupid *** sunroof and its stupid assembly is significant to people that actually use thier cars on tracks, not doing some ricer fly by's in thier civics thinking theyre hot ****. (no offence to people that actually use thier civics the way they were designed to be used)

I'd ask for people to think before they speak, but I know they wont. So stay ignorant, doesnt effect my life anymore then typing this out.
