Default clutch question

is it possible to put your clutch disk in backwards and it still work or not?

No, I believe the center portion of the disk sticks out further on one side than on the other side. If you put it in backwards, you would not be able to bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel.

ok, because my friend who works for toyota told me that it is possible to put it in backwards but under high loads it would hit the flywheel bolts. i was just curious it this was true or not. by the way its a 96 se

I am with PatrickGSR94 on this one... one of the sides on the disk DOES stick out farther than the other to fit in between the pressure plate and flywheel.
