On the DX model, the spoiler is the same color as the car, and on the CX, the just come black.. I also think that the hatch on the dx has the handle to open from the outside.... I'm not sure on that part though..

Yes, its also slightly longer and I think its metal as opposed to the CXs being plastic

No, thats actually a year to year change across all hatchbacks, I forget what year was the changeover though.

Some CXs have the rear wiper as well, but not all, its my understanding that it could be had as part of an option package, NOFX could tell you a lot more than about that then I can though.

Look here! This was in the FAQ thread at the top of this section.

The hatch handle has to do with the year, not the trim.

'96-'97s have a hatch release within the car on the driver's floor.

'98-'00s have a handle above the license plate area on the hatch and have a pin style lock that is visible through the hatch glass.

Because of this it's a BIG pain to swap one hatch to another body that didn't have the same hatch design. The body side of the latch is different and even will need to be cut out and replaced (or possibly modified).

"Best" is definitely an opinion. It depends on what you mean to use the Civic for and what your goals might be.

All CX and DXes had optional a/c. It's true that the DX had a standard radio while the CX radio was only optional. Yes, some CXes didn't come with a radio. It's fairly uncommon to find one now though.

Yep. The DX is metal on top (body color matched) and plastic on the bottom. It's noticably longer and pointier than the stubby black ABS CX spoiler. Both come with a third brake light as mandated by US law since 1986.

Touched on that above.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94EG8 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Some CXs have the rear wiper as well, but not all, its my understanding that it could be had as part of an option package, NOFX could tell you a lot more than about that then I can though.</TD></TR></TABLE>
No US CX came with a rear wiper. In the US it was only on the DXes, which had it standard. :thumbp:

Canadian model information is going to be more difficult to find. That goes for most other countries too.

Thanks.

I just love 6th gens and try to collect any info I can find on them. Still a long way to go and I am obsessive about this stuff.
