what was barametric pressure? humidity?

how are you getting air in and out?

id say take it to the track and see what happens. those numbers are low but the dyno may also read low.

Dont know the pressure but it was about 85 and 65% humidity. Im guessing if i get a better header such as ssr or smsp with a 3" exhaust it might get up to 240 maybe....just a number right? haha

Those numbers are not that bad...
Get another header & exhaust for a little more power.

Would this engine benefit from larger valves and having the combustion chamber matched to the bore, having such a large bore?

header and exhaust = alot more power

a rmf and 3" with no cat would be nice for power but not so kind on the ears

nice setup.

im beginning to wonder what people really expect when they go to a dyno with a big motor that is choked. You are holding peak torque to 7000 rpm, what more do you want?

i would say that is perty good for a just a vibrant header and a full exhaust

get a custom header and run it open and
i bet u see great gains

From what I've seen, most people seem to be lost on how important it is to choose matching components that compliment each other and the motor they're on.

They spend money on some big things and neglect the little things (details) which are an important part to the whole package. That's the difference between an engine that makes good power and one that makes excellent power.

A better flowing exhaust system is the obviously lacking part of this build, but any thoughts on this?

i was about to say the same thing.... that thing holds torque more than where some people hold HP to! i guess you can't satisfy everyone

he needs to take it out to the track and rev it to about 8500-9000 in the first couple gears

I'd have to look up the fuel maps on this tune.....but i want to say we were definitely pulling fuel past 7500 rpm by a good margin. The tq/hp drop up top was rediculous. You can actually hear it choking a bit on the dyno. It just didnt seem to breathe well, i'd like to see it again with a new header and exhaust. I've had more success on smaller bore, lower compression, pro 1'd h22s(with better intake/exhaust combos).

Were the cams dialed in? Sometimes there is a chunk of power to be had there.

Those numbers look pretty good for such a restrictive exhaust.

its a strong set up, just tweak it here and there, a full exhaust should net you major gains if its quality......bear in mind the dyno may read low...you know?? take that bich to the track i bet it hauls a**

You aren't kidding . . . . I've had better results with bone stonk H22 longblocks with bolt ons . . .

Get a header and re post please. . . . Shame on you for running a motor like that with a $5 header . . .
