They i have a 2000 civic with a pioneer head unit and eclipes speakers all around and a rockford amp. My drivers side went out about a month ago, and i really didnt think much of it. Now my pass side is kinda going out. I just get bass out of it. But the back ones work fine still. Sometime if i hit a big bump the back 2 will stop working and just the front pass will work. But it will go back if i hit another bump. I have no clue what it could be. I heard that it could be my x covers or cross over, something like that. I really dont know much about speakers. Can anyone help me out what it might be?

 

Sounds like a loose speaker connection to me. Check you speakers, crossover, and head unit connections. Where are your crossover's mounted? Could also be water damage...

Which Eclipse speakers, [model number]?

Which R/F amp and which speakers is it driving, fronts, rears or both sets?

If they are cutting in and out when you hit bumps then I agree with White Smoke it is most likely a connection problem although, it could possibly be a short in a speaker or speaker lead, depending on what is driving the speakers, a sort at a speaker or speaker lead would tend to shut down both, [all] channels of an amp, [internal or off-board amp], that's why it would help to know model numbers and what is driving what. 94
