ok heres the deal i have a 93 del sol and i did a jdm B18C(same as b18c5) swap. now i want to get a cold air intake. im buying the intake tube off ebay and stickin a k&n air filter on the end of it. i usually dont go cheap but a $10 e-bay intake with a $50 k&n filter is just as good if not better than a $250 aem or injen intake. so heres my question: if i buy an intake for a regular del sol is the tubing going to be large enough for the 62mm throttle body on the new engine? or do i have to buy an intake for an integra type r and piece one together? any help would be greatly appreciated

 

You could probably buy an intake for a 99-00 Si or 94-97 Del Sol VTEC. If you buy an ITR CAI, the piping of the tube won't run through the hole in the frame rail (b/c ITRs don't have a hole there) but run next to the frame rail. You can probably run the ITR CAI though.

i want to get the one that goes into the lower bumper. and i was thinking the same thing about the si or del sol vtec intakes, but they dont have 62 mm throttle bodies. will the tubing diameter be at least 62mm or bigger for a si or del sol vtec intake? or will the tubing be too small for the 62mm throttle body

 

it won't be too small... 2mm diameter does make that big of a difference if you're trying to shove a coupler on there.
if i were you, i'd get the itr aem cai. the pipe is bigger than the 99-00 si & 94-97 sol vtec aem intake(i think the difference is 3" for the itr vs. 2.75" for the si and sol. i think the si and sol is 2.75" diameter...).
