hey guys

today i got a ticket for failiure to display inspection sticker,heres the story...

2 weeks ago the sticker fell off my window,wasnt sticky anymore,so i put it in the glove middle console,he issues me a ticket even though i show it to him right away,that was the reason i got pulled over

Is there anything i can do,bring a picture of the sticker on my car,or any idea how much it cost,thanks alot

 

I dunno what the laws are in NJ but I would assume if you bring the sticker to court with you explaining thtat it is not sticky any more and fell off you could get out of it minus court fees. Is there any way you can get a new inspection sticker??

 

Get a new sticker...tomorrow. Keep the old one and take proof of the replacement and the one that fell off to court with you. If you're reasonably affable you should have no problem getting off completely.

its worth a try, especially if the ticket is $$$.

 

the cops just a moderator, the judge is the admin.

get it legit ASAP and tell your story, and if you are that worried, contact a lawyer but it sounds like that would be more than the ticket.

Yeah I hear that...i'll be a cop in about 2 years, stupid **** like that shouldn't be a main focus...

 

In Florida for certain tickets (window tint, tag expired, headlight/taillight being out) if you get it fixed before your ticket is due then you can take proof that you have fixed the problem and they will knock the standard $80 ticket down to around $10 bucks or so. If the ticket is not a couple of hundred dollars don't fight it, you will spend more then the ticket on lawyer and court fees, plus if you loose then you owe the ticket lawyer fees and court fees that $100 dollar ticket turns into $500-$600 ticket. see if they do something similar to Florida

 

In NY if you have any problem like that (sticker, taillight etc.) and show it to a cop at the station they take care of the ticket. Good Luck.
