90 crx si motor into a 91 civic dx hatch?
I think this is a straight forword swap, but if you guys can think of any possible complications let me know. My friends crx was totaled so we are going to drop that motor into his girlfriends civic hatch. Thanks in advance.
I am guessing you know of the DPFI to MPFI swap. the wiring involved.
You will need the resistor box from the SI.
It is a super easy wiring conversion, and the motor going in, it is straight forward swap.

No i didn't know, but we have both cars so any part we need we should have. If we use the harness from the crx do we still need to do any wiring? Thanks
you will need the wiring harness from the si for it's plugs, but you will still have to do some custom wiring... it's not just a direct plug and play. here's a link to a site that explains the wiring involved:

Could you explain why i need to rewire some things? I thought if i used the 90 crx si motor, ecu, and harness it would be a direct bolt in? I might be wrong. Sorry for making this hard i just want to understand. Thanks
the only way to make it a direct plug and play is if you switch ALL of the wiring harness, interior and engine bay. the big pain is the harness that goes through the firewall, from the ecu to the engine harness. It's accually easier to to the conversion in the link above. don't worry, it's not too hard to do. Just take your time and double check your work and you'll be fine.
