b20 swap parts into ef
for my first post i thought i would make a thread showing all the parts you need to complete a b20 swap into an ef. I got the idea for doing this from DevinW who made a b20 into ek parts list. After doing a lot of research on this swap i didnt find a site that had a complete list just the general parts, so i thought this would be helpful. Now i did this into a crx si. This list will assume that you have already done a mpfi conversion if you havent done so. Also this swap will be staying obd 0 for now. Everything that came on the b20 is obd2.
lets get started
motor: b20b. i bought mine from hmotorsonline. ran 880 shipped.
Tranny: any b series cable tranny. unless you have converted to hydro.
Clutch/Flywheel: for Clutches you have to know what year your tranny is from. There is a difference in how big the splines are on the tranny from 90-91, and 92-93. Flywheel i used one from a 93 integra. and b-series will work.
Intake manifold: Any manifold that comes from 90-93 integra. Some b20s come with the high rise manifold, but mine came with the LS style one. I decided to use the one i already had from a DA.
Also for simplicity make sure you get a manifold that includes the fuel rail with injectors, EACV and IAT.
Exhaust manifold: I used one from a 93 integra. its about 4 inches too long so i have to cut and weld it back together. This is about the only part im not too sure about which header to use.
Throttle Body: 90-93 integra, because they dont have the MAP sensor on the top. and they have the dashpot for idle.
Throttle cable: i used one from a 90-93 integra. the one that the crx comes with is too short. Also i used the throttle cable bracket that came on my crx.
ECU: 90-91 integra. I used a pr4 from an integra because its OBD0
Distributor: The one i used was from a 91 integra. you have to use an OBD0 dizzy if you are staying OBD0. so 90-91 integra. 92-93 are OBD1.
Alternator: any 90-93 integra will work. I used the alternator belt from a 97 CRV and worked with no clearance problems.
Starter: 90-93 integra will work.
Axles/Intermediate shaft: 90-93 integra axles for both sides. the intermediate shaft from USDM 90-93 integra. JDM intermediate shafts are shorter.
Shift Linkage: I bought them from hasport. b-series into ef. i wasnt into the whole ghetto fab an integra one to fit. Also make sure you buy the stabilizer bushings because they dont come with them. Energy Suspension makes a set.
Mounts/Brackets: I bought Inovative steel motor mounts. you can buy from Hasport or any other company that makes mounts as long as they are for b-series into crx with cable tranny. The rear T-bracket you have to use from a 90-93 integra. Also the engine mount by the timing cover you have to replace it for one from a 90-93 integra. if you try using that one your motor mounts wont line up.
Radiator hoses: 90-93 integra both lower and upper. I didnt have to trim anything they fit right in.
Maintenance parts: i replaced everything that i could. gaskets, spark plugs, spark plug wires, water pump, tensioner, timing belt, oil filter, crank seal, dizzy seal, cam seal, and valve cover gasket, fresh oil and coolant. Also i used 10-40 oil for tranny.
Im pretty sure i got down all the parts you need besides the occasional nut and bolts.
the swap turned out to cost me a bit more than 3 grand. because i replaced as much as i could with brand new parts. also i had bolts that were seized up. Acura dealership rips you off for them.
if i missed anything or you have any suggestions feel free to post. any questions, comments please post.
thanks.

if you the ls exhaust manifold and a D-series downpipe it will bolt right up with no mods at all
no cutting no welding and more money to spend elsewhere
