I checked the part numbers for the civic and the accord; they aren't the same. I'm guessing its going to be the same for all the other ones. You can try to find one used somewhere i.e. junkyard, fs threads. Good luck.

And correct me if I am wrong.

Question for you, K I checked the solenoide and the sensor. I have a P1259. Both of them are working but when the solenoide turns on the sensor is suposed to close or turn off. Thats what it said on the scan tool at work. It is full of oil so i dont think thats the problem. Any ideas. Thanks for the offer, give me some time and ill have some money soon, just moved into a new apartment.

Ohhh your ObD2.

this is how it works.

The engine generates oil pressure. Around 5.2 rpms the oil pressure switch is trip and it sends a signal to the ecu with then relays a signal to the Solenoid which opens up letting oil pressure fill in which powers Vtec.

everything has proper voltage and proper resistence. What do u think it is. I havnt hooked a pressure gauge up to it yet and checked the oil pressure.

yeah IDk.

How do you know its the solenoid, 1st off.

Have you reved the motor to 5kish and plugged the solenoid to a 12v source?

If it opens up its not the Solenoid.

i have used the snap on scan tool to watch and see if the solenoid open and turned it on manualy with a 12v power source at idle like the testings told me to do. It clicks but i guess i can do that tomorrow while its on the rack.
