Default LIFT KIT????

does any one know if it would be possible to instead of putting just putting the 2 inch lift on a 1999 honda CR-V that u could put a 3 or 4 inch lift on it by putting bigger coil springs in it. i looked up the BSD lift for the CR-V and it said that they put a 1 inch spring in the front and a 2 inch spring in the back. and to put the 3 inch lift in put 2 inch springs in the front and 3 inch springs in the back. or for a 4 inch lift put 3 inch springs in the front and 4 inch springs in the back.
I am only 15 so take it easy on me but i work on my dads farm as a mechanic so i get things from that stand point so just say what i would need to do to make it work or if i couldn't make it work
thanks for all the help
Matt

You have the right idea. But the strut is what limits wheel travel. With money it can always be done. But as far as I know there aren't any longer struts to fit a cr-v. I would love to find some though.

If you have access to the materials needed to make it, try a lift plate. something like http://truxxx.com/nissan_products/2004-56.jpg I've used a few for leveling out larger trucks and they've been fine.

Wouldn't be terribly hard to do, just a little more work than a bolt on lift kit.

if you lift too much you're gonna have bad axle angles and more lift = the need for longer axles, brake lines and other stuff.

I've seen the off road pics. It's not a full time street queen, and those are old pics I believe.
