Who makes a quality medal radiator cap for the Denso style Radiators -- certainly not Stant! ... Does Honda?
I recently replaced the original radiator that came with a 94 Accord, which was a Toyo style Rad. [The vehicle is listed below in my signature]. But since the Toyo brass-copper Rads are no longer available from Honda, I had to go with a newer style after-market plastic-aluminum KoyoRad. The Honda parts guy nearest me did not have any rads available and told me the KoyoRad was the OE equivalent, virtually the same exact rad, his opinion was that it was equal in quality to the newer plastic aluminum rads from Honda. The new radiator itself is fine, but it came with a Denso style cap made from plastic. It looks inferior to the brass metal Stant cap that was on my Toyo rad; but the older brass metal cap will not fit the new radiator. The new plastic cap literally blew apart on its own just sitting on the shelf. When I went to put it back together it appears that the plastic center part cannot handle the spring tension like the metal caps do. But today is Sunday and Honda is not open, so, I call Pep Boys and they tell me that they have two Stant caps in stock for the 94 Accords, one for the Denso and another for the Toyo.
So, I go to Pep Boys thinking that I will be able to buy a quality Stant metal cap, but it turns out that only one of them was metal, the one for the Toyo rad. But the Stant cap for the Denso style rads turned out to be the same exact plastic cap that broke. What I wasn't aware of is that the plastic cap I had that broke might also be a Stant made cap. It is identical in every detail, and it is made in China. I'm not sure if Stant is making these in China or if they are made for Stant, but they are inferior to the metal caps. It is the worst rad cap I have ever seen. Btw, the Stant part # is 11242, and Stant says the # 10242 can also be used. They look the same.
Are the Stant Tuner caps any better made?

Try a AC Delco brand. Part # 12R19. You can view a picture @the following link, http://198.208.187.182/interne...12R19 or http://www.acdelco.com
I've had one on my 1991 Accord for years.

that's funny I replaced my 94 accord's original radiator cap with a stant cap back in 2003 and it has worked fine ever since......the radiator in my accord is plastic aluminum and it is still original (yeah 16+ years old) you must have a defective cap...but the 2003 cap was all metal.....
