B20 Rod Question

Definitely don't use rod caps from a different rod unless you want a spun bearing.

rods are machined (for bearings) with the caps on and bolts torqued to spec. if you don't want problems or to remachine rods, use only those in good condition with their proper caps.

i wouldn't try to fit a square piece into a circular hole. stick with the same rod caps. is there something wrong with the original B20 caps??

especially since they are oem rods, id rather just get another set than try and mixmatch caps.
however, you should be able to get the big end honed out to make it perfect, but you would have to measure and plastigauge to find the right bearing size instead of being able to follow the crank/rod markings as in the helms
