engine stalls
while driving at normal speeds my engine dies. it's a b16a1 (pr3 ecu). it will restart if i put it in nuetral and restart it. when it dies the air fuel meter reads completely lean. there is no noises or anything, it just completely shuts off as if someone turned the key to off. any ideas?
1.Check your plugs for oil, may be fowling out.= Valve seals, valve guides, ignitor or coil in the distributor. Fuel pump. Start here first. best thing to do is go to your local honda dealer and ask the wash guys in the garage which mechanic does work on the side and he or she can usually diagnose and fix the prob. for half price, Good luck!
er, fuel delivery?? just guessing here. do you have a fuel pressure gauge? possible bad pump, clogged fuel filter, clogged injectors, bad gas, faulty connector/o2 sensor signal to computer????
i have a stock b16a fuel system. i only got the a/f meter in no fuel pressure guage. i have had the engine in the car since february and it has run fine till this week so i was thinking fuel system myself. i got new accel wires and ngk laser platinum plugs. i am going to try to get a fuel filter tonight. the guy at honda told me it might be the starter relay or something like that, they got noone there who new anything bout engine swaps so noone would look at it. it is an 88 si. i have also changed all the gaskets in he engine so no oil is in the plugs or leaking anywhere. thanks for the help!

how exactly do you check the ecu? i could try it. i got a fuel filter, plugs, distributor cap and rotor. i am going to go see if this helps. otherwise i am not sure if i should try the starter relay?
