I have a 2000 Base model and it's been throwing a CEL for the Evap system after I removed cruise control. There was a hose from the cruise control to the throttle body, would that trip the CEL?

The CEL comes on about once every 2 weeks, after reset, it'll come back on..and the cycle repeats.

 

no. but the evap canister is just below the cruise control. check to see if by accident you pulled one of those lines loose.

 

all the hoses are intact. the canister was hanging loose(not clipped onto the mounting bracket) could that be the cause?
