Wouldn't you get the pressure plate with the clutch disk? I ran a six puck with a LS, some advice:
Upgrade your mounts
Make sure your stereo is in nice and tight, or you might knock out someone in the back seat
Have good cup holders before you start driving with a hot cup of coffee

i've done it....buying the whole kit would be smarter. those clutches are like on/off switches though. why do you need such an aggressive clutch anyway? are you using R compound tires, or?

the rule of thumb with clutches is "go with least amount of clutch is necessary"

if you have a bone stock B-series pushing no more than 130ft lbs to the wheels, then a full faced street clutch will be fine.

no need for an unsprung 6 puck rated for 350ft lbs. you'll just add more wear and tear to driveline parts. and unsprung clutches wreak havoc on things like motor mounts, trans cases, thrust bearings, mainshaft/countershaft bearings in your trans, etc.

if you're getting a heavy clutch so you can chirp 5th with your pep boys tires, then go for it.

did you bleed the slave? soft pedals are more common with air in the line than they are any actual clutch issues.
