does the 91 civic si tranny come stock with LSD? and if not where come i find a decent lsd for a cheap price?

 

i wish it did i'd love too have it.

 

I think the 88-91 sohc zc non vtec had it, buy the tranny and swap, if not OBX makes one

Definatly doesnt come stock, I don't even think it was an option (not sure though)
IMO stay away from OBX and also those parts to modify your current diff. to LSD

 

Normally I would say stay away from OBX but Mr Bones (the tranny guru) says he's installed over 30 and hasn't had any trouble with them (the new version at least). And if Bones says it good, I believe it.

LSD was an option for ZC trannys. You can find them once in a while.

OBX is cheapest.

Quaife is well respected.

KAAZ harder to find but good. I don't think KAAZ makes LSD for Si tranny anymore. Not sure.

Only in our dreams...

OBX is good, but you need to take the time to test it out first to make sure the build quality is good. Its worth it to buy one and send it to someone (like MistaBone/TransBone) who can check it out for you to see if its good. Then you can install it knowing that it wont wobble itself to death if its a rare dud. The cost of getting it looked at is much less than replacing the whole thing in two years.

How hard are they to install on a scale of 1-5? About how much would a shop charge to put one in?
