91 accord starter cranks-motor does not!?
Ok please bear with me as I detail the issue from the initial breakdown until
now.
I have a 1991 Accord automatic 2.2L
While driving the car the crankshaft pulley came off. It apparently had been
spinning on the end of the shaft for some time. I thought I was listening to my power steering system for all those months. The pulley actually had chipped
away part of the key slot and was just wobbling. So being 110 miles away from
home I decided to remove the pulley which runs power steering and alternator. I
figured I'd get with in my AAA 100 mile tow zone before the battery quit on me.
So with that done I drove about 10 miles and was idling at a traffic light when
the engine died. When I tried to restart it i sounded like I had lost all
compression. After inspecting what I could I thought that maybe it had broke or
thrown the timing belt. I also noticed that when I had removed the crank pulley I
didnt put the crank pulley bolt back on and the key that lines up the crank
pulley and the gear behind it had worked its way out about 1/2 inch. I tried to
put it back in with no luck.
Ok so after towing the car home I removed the timing belt covers. All the belts
were intact. So I turned the engine over and noticed that none of the belts were
turning! I removed the starter and bench tested it. nothing wrong with the
starter.
So with the starter apparently turning at least the flywheel yet the crank visibly
not turning at the belts and never hearing any clunks, knocks or such what is the
deal?
Thanks for all your replies in advance.

Have you made sure all the belts are tightened to manufacture specifications, and that you didn't ruin either one of the pulley's by doing that or anything else. Make sure everything moves if you can. If nothing moves you very well might have fried the engine.
Maybe the key that postions the T-belt crank pulley is missing, then the crank would be spinning inside that bottom T-belt pulley and not turning the T-belt.
