If you port matched the intake manifold to the throttle body you would be lucky to see 1-2 hp. I wouldn't waste my time.

Well the best thing to do would to be get a VTEC head, but I am not sure if u are just trying to build an all motor LS without VTEC. The VTEC would be the usual choice and will provide great results. Aside from that, You should get high compression pistons and rods. I would also recommend getting a really good header. It can be the most important part of your build. For example RMF or SMSP makes great headers. Then I would say get either a 2.5 or 3inch exhaust.
I am not sure honestly of the aftermaket products for a regular LS head, but if there are a wide range, I would say just rebuild the head with cams, Intake manifold and etc.
Let me know if you are trying to go that route or the VTEC route, and then i could provide better assistance lol

I know this provides no help but I just read the last post and figured it would be a good spot to post a quote a buddy said a long time ago

"gasper44 wrote:Do everything, but the port and polish, porting and polishing an LS head is about as beneficial as neosporin is to herpes. LOL"

But yeah anyway Don't bother with the Throttle body unless it is dirt cheap or free, you wont see much if any power from it until you do some other mods to need the extra TB size.

If you have it then use it.

14's on a LS probably will not happen without either some more compression or a vtec head or cams or some sort of bigger mod then a TB.

When I read this I'm thinking a couple things:

1) He should not be attempting to build or modify something he knows so little about.

Answer: Don't build it or touch it until you do a lot more reading and have a better understanding of how engines work (in particular YOURS).

2) You should pay someone qualified to do the work for you, who understands and knows what they're doing.

Answer: You wanna go the "cheapest" route so I guess that's out...

3) If you just want enough power to go 14's and still be "cheap" you really only have one option and that's nitrous.

Answer: This is the most obvious solution to what you want, however when you combine your lack of experience with "cheapest route" you end up with catastrophe.

Can you see where this is going....?

u have an ls the answer is no. if you had a gsr guess what the answer is no. i just swapped mine cause of the stupid gsr throttle cable position. the gsr Tb, the sites are wrong, it is 58 at most 59mm. the itr tb is 62mm and yes if you have them next to eachother you can tell.

It doestn really do anything tbh if your stock it mite flow better if you have a better IM and headport. other than that its a waste pretty much. doesnt take long to do

I see you want to do a LSVTEC setup, there u can make a lot of power and go faster than 14s. Let me ask you do you know what type of head you want to use? That is one of the most talked about issues when talking about LSVTEC. There is a sticky in the all motor section that will tell u everything you need to know. As some of the others said, do a little more research and then maybe, we can help you with a more specific question, for examplw what cams may be better for the application

and by the way, LSVTEC can run just like any other engine if you build it right. If you take shortcuts, no engine is going to run right. The only thing that will be off is the timing, which can be changed

lol.. you guys are funny the kid wants to play with his engine, and everyone is sprouting off this high brow bs and thinking way to much into it.

grab die grinder and goto town bro. enjoy.

just make sure you don't ruin the appreciated value of the physical radius on the turn side of the port floor dynamics with the thermo combustion rate.

true.
