stock bottom end is cool

but you need compression to really get some power

Jun 3's would be good on a stock bottom end.

Woah, that's like apple and oranges. Toda A's aren't very aggressive, as compared to Jun 3s

If you want to go big, and make big power go for some Toda Cs and lots of compression

What the site does not say that is with lots of tuning. I made 180 with higher compression with the Hondata basemaps and 93.7 F temperature in the shop. I have lots of tuning to do.

trust me, one you tune that fuel I guarantee you hit over 200 easily. That is whats killing me. If your to rich or lean during vtec its amounts to big power loss

I've had both cams in my ITR. I made 178WHP and 135 torque with minimal tuning with the toda A's and stock compression. They are great cams, and I never worried about them breaking ****. Now I have the Jun3's and I can tell you my car is way faster. I have not gotten a chance to tune it or dyno it. It still scares the **** out of me to rev my car 9K+

I think for most people the A specs are better cams.

ahem! 190whp? he said JUN 3's not Toda C's
I hardly see below 200whp with jun 3's and supporting mods.

you will never make 200 on 10:1 compression. I will bet my house on it. There are people struggling to make 200 on 11 even 12:1 compressoin. When those big cams open up your valves your static compression will drop to 9:1 or so, you will no power at all maybe even lose power.. What Jeff from IR fails to admit is that he used hondata and has access to his own dyno, so he probably spent hours and hours on tuning to get that. I highly doubt he got that in a 30 min or hour dyno session. Maybe he used a stock GSR bottome end but the head was milled 40, that's more believable.

actually, for that run he only used vafc and fpr.. maybe sum larger injectors too buy who knows? bigger compression will come later.. i know good tuners so i am not worried about that either

neways, the reason why i am comparing toda A's ot jun 3's is because so far, i believe both are more reliable compared to B's C's. there seems to be less problems with jun 3's when compared to B/C's.. however, i heard that jun 3's have a reputation of eating the valves... can anyone comment on this?

if u put them in wrong u will have valve problems. u will not get huge gains like everyone says with JUN 3s on stock bottom end. u will need to raise compression. JUNs r huge and have alot of overlap. yes on a stock bottom end they feel sweet, but actual power isnt as big as one would think. i know from experience, ive had them on a stock bottom end and on a a high compression bottom end. go JUN and get some pistons, u wont complain. once u hear the scream of 9k under ur hood u will b a happy camper.

woah...hadnt seen that dyno yet...

I was hoping anywhere from 180-185 whp with my Jun 3 set up on stock bottom end, but this just made my day, 189 whp on a gsr. I'll be happy with that.
