okay im doing a d16z6 bottom end with a d16y8 mini-me vtec head swap and i was wondering what timing belt to use? people have said to use the d16y8 belt but i tried and it was still loose even though i had the belt tensioner set all the way also my belt is touching that damn driver side engine mount. so to those who have exp. this, what belt am i suppose to use? and should i use a z6 mount? and another quick question. the only wiring or plug that needs to be converted for that z6 block if i use a obd-2b harness is the knock sensor right? if im correct the p2p ecu reads knock.

 

dont tell me to search because i have already did and the only thing i can find are freakin people trying to sell their sh*ts!

 

might be wrong but i dont think d series came with knock sensors and just a sudgestion you can take that y8 head and put it on the d17a2 and have a nice stroker engine and what car is it going in 97+? if so use stock driver side mount and i always use the belt for the block
