Pacific Northwest Honda-Tech Meet Scheduling
Who's up for an HT meet in Vancouver sometime in the next few weeks?
Of course, we'll have the Spoon S2000 there! Assuming it's still in one piece after Indy
I assume everybody, especially the guys in Washington and Oregon would prefer a weekend?
Some dates to choose from:
Saturday, August 3
Sunday, August 4
Saturday, August 10
Sunday, August 11
For the Americans coming up to Vancouver, August 3rd is a good time to visit because the HSBC Celebration of Light (formerly known as the Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire) will be on that night. This is a yearly fireworks competition held in Vancouver that draws over 100,000 people for each show. Details are here http://www.celebration-of-light.com/fireworks/
August 10th and 11th are also good times to come up for the Abbotsford Airshow. Canadian Snowbirds, USAF Thunderbirds, F117 Stealth Fighter, B2 Stealth Bomber will all be performing at that show. Details: http://www.abbotsfordairshow.com/2002.html
Any other suggestions?

i would suggest NOT holding it on the long weekend for the sake of any Americans coming up - the border will be craaaaaaazy (typically 2-3 hour waits on long weekends). Not worth it IMO.
o sweet! no work then!
the border shouldn't be too bad on Saturday and Sunday though, or should it? I would think that most people cross on Friday and Monday

Uhhh - didn't you just say:

I'm pretty sure it will be busy all weekend. But whatever....

i'll try to make it up there one weekend. ACTUALLY a buddy of mine goes to culinary school somewhere in downtown vancouver, i guess i could stay at his place, maybe even tell him to bring his car. are subie's allowed? he's gotta wrx with slight mods.
Maybe me a nd a couple of other UTAH guys could show up, and then everybody can flake out on us. (Excpt for the cool dudes that were at the last PAC-NW H-T Meet) In all seriousness, If it is worth while, I will definatly make it up to my favorite part of the country for a H-T Gathering.
well, for sure, on the Vancouver side, we'll have some people
plus, the main reason we'd like to get a meet organized is to give people a chance to see the Spoon S2000 (for free too, unlike having to pay at a damn car show) before it gets shipped off to France for it's next race

11th is ok..3rd and 4th are ok..
Oh what the hell.. I'll try to put in an appearance no matter what.. I always have fun and I'm starting to get to know everyone, and that's great

I'm abandoning the other thread.
I could show up on the afternoon of the 17th, but I have to work the morning.
The first two weekend of August are spoken for.
