hey guys, i have a d16y7 and just put a y8 intake monifold on and everytime im at idle the car jumps up about 800 rpms then drops down again. It just jumps up then jumps down then jumps up again and it wont stop! Im kinda new to the honda world and i dont know what the hell it could be. The car runs great after i start going but just when im at idle it power revs, does anyone know what the problem could be?

 

check your idle air control valve. it might need to be cleaned out that would cause the rpm's to jump. also make sure your coolent lines have no air in them

 

i had the same problem, i took out my idle air control thingy and used this air machine and just blew air into there like it blew hard its not like a weak blow of air but yeah then i put it back in and it was fine after that

 

You can spray carb cleaner around ur manifold to see if you have a leak anywhere or a vacum leak. Did you. Use a new intake manifold gasket. Or u use the old one. If u used the old one then you might have a leak.
