I have a 88 honda civic standard model, i am having a problem with the car
the fuel pump doe not come on with key, u have to ground out the main relay i bought brand new or the fuel pump wires at the computer. for the fuel pump to work.
my ? is, can i ground it out my self at the computer or the main relay to make the fuel pump work or will that cause more problems in future. if need more info please

everything i have done to it:

wiring : took dpfi wiring out, put in mpfi wiring from si, thats all of the wiring.
computer : si computer
engine : 1.5L D15B2
transmission : manual 5 speed
interior : si dash, si seats, si lower interior, standard upper interior
lights : took si tail lights
exhaust : factory header don't know what it came of of, performance exhaust.
wheels : 16 in
getting ready to add rear window wiper.

main relay could be bad

 

bought a brand new one

 

wire poss 12 to pump throug relay, from ignition switch or such. there you go. good for you too if in need of extra fuel.
