Default Are these craptastic rotars?

I am going to be purchasing brembo front and rear rotars from advance auto. My buddy told me to check these out.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...09013

The brembo's i am buying are 100 for front and rear, and i gotta buy pads. They are also slotted. (or dotted only 1 of them.. i forget) So it's going to be about 200 bucks after it's all said and done. I have a 25% discount cause a friend works for the warehouse. So yeah. Just wanted to know if these are any better or what's up with them. I have been told they work just fine and they aren't a bad purchase but i want to get the tech communities opinion.

Dont know where you live but to my place shipping is 40 bucks, plus 140. Thats only 20 bucks cheaper than what you plan to spend on the brembos. It should be a no brainer to not go with the ebay junk unless u really need that dub.

--- I am not really worried about the money. I was just wondering if they were horrible or not. I was told to buy them from a friend. He said he used them without a problem. So if they really are crap, i will just buy the brembos.

these are not real brembo's FYI. My friend ran these on his DA9 and they cracked in like 2 months. get oem or oem spec made instead.

Reading > You

But yea stick with the brembos, they are one of the best names in brakes. The ebay ones might never give you a problem but you never know what your getting with ebay, or if you will even get it.

Better yet, get a set of Duralast / Autozone rotors for even less than the Brembos, and skip the slotted and cross-drilled nonsense. You can put the money you save towards good fluid and pads.

this is the best idea so far. Do you know if they still have that lifetime warranty?

They actually cut it back to 2 years for the Duralast and 1 year for the Valuecraft.

--- Why nonsense? I honestly don't think it does anything, but people swear by it.

Less surface area for brake pad contact.
Less metal for heat dissipation.
Less structurally sound (meaning higher chance of cracking or breaking)
More rapid pad wear.

And all of this, to combat an issue with brake pads that hasn't existed since the 60s. Brake pads no longer "gas out" during use.

It looks damn cool though.

In most cases, yes.
