hi.

i have a 97 prelude h22a with 105k.

recently it has started vibrating during accel....at all speeds.

what could it be?

alignment, loose lugnut, unbalanced wear on your tires, fcked up shock, or some other suspension piece worn out

 

how bad is the vibration? does it vary with vehicle speed? does it have the vibration when you are sitting still? agree probably in the suspension. umm. . . . when is the last time it had a timing belt/balance shaft belt. if the balance shaft belt broke you may be picking up the slight vibration from the engine. if that is the case it will have a vibration while sitting still also. (engine running of course)

 

worn out cv boot on your axle(s). wheel bearing(s), engine mount(s)

 

motor mounts

 

^^^ sounds like motor mounts if it only occurs during accel/decel.

 

wouldn't a bad motor mount cause vibrations while stationary and revving engine? If so, should be a simple test.

 

prolly a worn cv boot. does it also pop when you take turns

 

Last time i broke an axle it did exactly what you are describing. It will probably continue to get worse so i'd get it checked out asap

 

If it's only during acceleration it's most likely a bad axle.

 

correct, it is only vibrating when i accel. and it is in gear and moving, not while it is in park.

also, it seems to get significantly worse when going uphill.

personally, i think it sounds like something with the driveshaft or cv boot.

any suggestions?
