2nd gen and 3rd gen Teg alternator the same?

I am clearing some 2nd gen Teg parts out of my basement and was wondering if I should keep the 2nd gen alternator as a spare for my 3rd gen. Looks nearly the same but I don't want to install it to find out. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

if its the same engine it should bolt up and torque that biaa. im not sure if obd matters in this case.

Why would you ask this place?

Take three seconds and call your local parts store. See if they have the same part number.

If it fits, it will be fine. I believe the OBDII alternators will have different electrical connectors than the non-OBD (90-91) or OBDI (92-95? I think).
