Default brake light problem.

ok i got a 90 crx with a b16 swap in it i dont have the cluster or anything in it yet and no headlights or corner lights in the front. I dont know if that is causing the problem or not but i have running lights and turn signals but when i press the brake and the brake lights have a faint flicker when ever they want when i pump the brake. i changed bulbs and checked wiring and fuses under the dash and in hood. the only thing i can think of is check every inch of wire from the rear lights and make sure there are no breaks or anything and change the brake cycinoid. dont know if anyone ele had the same problem. i know its a lot but thanks.

You can check the brake switch. It's attached to the brake pedal assembly under the dash. Unplug the switch and use a wire to jump the two pins. If the lights turn on it's the switch.
