Default Seat replacement options for 4th Gen...

The tan leather seats in my 96 Prelude have seen better days and I was looking to get them replaced. The driver side has several rips and the foam is starting to show. The passenger side is a little better but is also ripped. I looked into getting OEM replacements but was way more than I wanted to spend. I havent seen too many used tan leather seats for sale either. EBAY leather replacements are almost $400!

I was wondering if seats from a new Honda/Acura could be used with minor modifications (i.e. S2k, RSX)? I did a search and didnt see anyone running them

just get them reupholstered, i did all the doors, center console, wheel, etc... but i had the seats done locally for $275, and they were ripped with foam missing. this is already 3 years onld and its holding up great.

just take some pics of your seats and go to some local places for a quote. good luck

the stock 4th gen prelude cloth seats are the best. And very comfortable. Almost like a racing seat. But with padding.

I am gonna ask around and see how much it would cost to reupholster but 275 sounds like a good deal.

I thought about going with cloth seats at first but would rather stay with the tan leather seats since the rears are fine.
