Window troubles....still
Ok so the drivers side window on my accord is slow to go up and down. First it stopped working all together, no problems so i replaced the window switch and it would go up and down, but slowely. So then I replaced the window motor, went up and down nicely for about a month then the motor stopped working replaced it under warranty. Worked for 2 weeks, the went out again, so i replaced it again, worked fine for about 3 weeks this time then broke again. So, still under warranty i replaced it and applied silicone lubricant to it andd took the glass out and cleaned it. Now a week ago it went out AGAIN. O'Reilly raplaced it under warranty again and it worked fine for a day and slowely goes to hell everytime i use it, and just keeps getting slower and slower, sometimes stoping mid way thru. The owner of the shop comented it could be getting pinched somewhere and thus putting added stress on the motor, and said O'Reilly autoparts is getting pissed at all the warranty returns and will only replace it 1 more time, so now i GOTTA get it right or all that $$ goes down the drain. So does anyone have any idea what could be the culprit? Like i said, i got 1 more shot to get it right, so please any input is appreciated.
well its the front side by the mirror that always seems to be catching because i had previous probs with it tilting forward and getting out of line and when i tryed to put hte window back into place after replacing the motor it always leans forward, but is that the weatherstripping thats catching or....
It sounds like your weatherstipping is junk. You can try to clean it and lube it with dry silicone or shin-etsu grease first, but you're probably going to need a new weatherstirpping.
