there is room to drop the trans out the bottom, however you will need to remove the cap part of the shift linkage on top of the trans to have enough room to clear the inside fender well. stuff some rags in the hole to keep debris out of the trans.

Also be aware there are 2-3 "oh $hit" bolts that go into the trans housing on the back side of the block near the oil filter area.

And for gosh sakes remember to unplug the speed sensor, the wires will not support the weight of the trans. LOL

i unbolted the shift linkage on accident today, ill remember to unbold it again, i couldnt find the speed sensor, found it on accident when i was puting tools away.

"oh ****" bolts, are they the ones that hold on the flywheel cover? i'm following the accord and lude helms step by step, im not wanting to take off the driver side drive axle, anyway i can get around taking that bastard off? took me 30 minutes for the lugs 3 hours to get the bolt off of the passenger side, with the tire iron and a 3 foot cheater bar and my 220 pounds pushing down on the lug they barely broke loose, i couldnt believe the studs didnt break. on the axle nut someone punched it down so hard i had to chizle it out.
