Default USDM or JDM engine better for a complete turbo rebuilt then swap?

I have a 92 hatch and I what a stock/sleeper looking swap USDM or JDM engine? I plan on building up a obd 1 b16a, planning on 84 bore, low compression (9.0.1.) pistons, rods, cams, etc. USDM or JDM engine? And if you could give me a general list of part, tools, and cost. (I plan assembling as much as I can at home)

Wow your asking alot.

It doesn't matter JDM crap or US. It's the same company, Honda. Get whatever you can find locally.

You have a lot of reading to do first. Don't be in a big hurry to spend/waste your money.

Read and learn from the mistakes of others.

Take your time and do it right the first time.

Correct, if all you'll have left stock is the outside of the block and the crank, doesn't matter. Obviously, you'll need sleeves since you want to go 84 mm. Golden Eagle is what I'd go with there. Ross pistons, just about any decent rod, GSR or ITR cams. It's all personal preference on everything, though...

I heard that a JDM swap is harder to do because you have cut the wire harness at the firewall. Locally so look for the cheapest block because i'm resleeving anyways.

You don't use the JDM engine harness. You generally add some wiring and connectors for things not present in the original harness (vtec, knock sensor etc.) this stuff can be sourced from the JDM harness, but the harness itself wont be used. The other option is to get a USDM harness and use that instead, such as a GS-R harness for a B series swap or a EX/Si harness.

I don't think it would make a difference once your building a fresh short block.. As stated above in most cases when it comes to the wiring most people just re-pin their usdm harness or get a vtec harness to suit and add w/e wiring they need for sensors.
