Timing Light Problem
So I go to adjust the timing on my 94, F22B2, and out of ten flashes the timing marks only show up like twice, so I can see the timing marks for two flashes in a row, and then it just shows the pulley the next 8 and then marks for 2 more and so on. I don't know if it's exactly 2 out of 10 but that's what it seems like.
So is that normal, the timing marks are at the same spot when they do show up. When I can see the marks it shows that the timing is off a little. It seems to run fine otherwise. Any suggestions? Is this a problem? Do I have a crappy timing light? Thanks for any help.

sometimes the coil/pickup on the timing light lead will work better in one direction or the other.
I'm not sure why this is, but older pickups/timing lights were marked for direction.
