No. The 55mm main H22a4 blocks won't work with a 50mm pump.

Then why did you say

a) h22a and h22a1 pumps are interchangeable
b) h22a1 and h22a4 pumps are interchangeable

Do you understand what interchangeable means?

If h22a and h22a1 pumps are interchangeable then that means that an h22a could use and h22a1 pump and an h22a1 could use and h22a pump. Now if that is true than that means h22a4 pumps could work on both of them as well.

Just questioning what you stated, that last post should have had a question mark i guess.

 

97 H22a4 uses 50mm mains like the H22a1 and H22a engine. 98+ is 55mm. Look at the part numbers, think about it and figure it out yourself.
