whats the deal w/ the type-r conversion and the hood latch. Can I use my usdm hood latch or do I have to use the jdm hood latch. I heard that i can use the hood latch off a 92-93 integra is that true. And what other little thing must be done that isnt discussed about the jdm type-r conversion.

 

just get the Gen 2 integra hood latch and cable, it fits perfect with no modification needed.

 

I met some guy last week with a JDM front, and he showed me everything because I'm about to pick up my front end soon as well. He told me that you can use your stock USDM one, and just flip it backwards. He showed me on his, and it worked perfectly fine.

 

Yep rotate it and then rotate the lever so you can open it. That's all you have to do.

 

yeah, you can do it that way, but your stock cable still won't be long enough to reach.

 

Is the 93 integra hood latch needed or just the longer cable from a 93 integra?

like others said, you can flip your stock latch around to make it work, but your cable will still be too short. I got the 93 latch and cable together and it fit perefectly.

 

How much do the 93 hood latch and cables run for? Can you find them at a junk yard?

 

i got mine for free, they shouldn't be much at all from a junkyard.
