what kind of motor does it have? does it have VTEC?

aren't the canadian si's sohc vtec?

 

does it have a tach?

does it have a moon roof?

2 very big clues if its a EX/Si or DX.

also does it have painted mirrors and body side molding? motor should say d16y8 and the vin # should have EJ8 somewhere in the beginning? *shrug* maybe thats only US

not nesessary...but yea ex/si are all powered everything...thats why its an EX or a SI

 

Si's in Canada have : Sunroof, Tachometer, pwr Locks, Vtec (doesnt say on valve cover though) and don't have painted mouldings, but do have painted mirrors.

HX also have power mirrors and windows and are VTEC, but the head does not say it.

the seller said the car was an Si
it is american, see it actuallt an EX, but to sell it here he made it simple and stated it was an Si for all the poeple in Canada who don't know the model code confliction
SOOO my friend is now in possesion of a 99 ex , HOWEVER it has no cruise, no power windows or locks, no moon/sunroof of any kind
the moldings match, but this may be only because of the paint job it got last year

yep...that aint no EX. Sounds like a DX.

 

yea, the only reason i got the EX was because it had a power sliding moonroof.

13500 is way too much for an EX (in your friends case, DX). here, a decent mileage 00 ex will cost about $11-13k us dollars

no my "friend" is my buddies girlfriend, who took all of three days to pick out a used car to buy and she knows nuthin about cars and didnt give me a chance to help her find a good honda.

she aint the type to fight it, because she is stubborn and just happy to have a car that came with some ghey muffler and bad body kit
