Default f22b2 valve cover gasket problem help please...

my friend has a 94 accord with a f22b2 in it but we have been everywhere advanced auto, napa, even the dealer to get a valve cover gasket for it. The cap and rotor fit along with fuel filter and plugs and wires, but everytime we get a valve cover gasket it doesnt fit....the spark plug seals dont fit either i have done my fare share of lD.. B.. and K.. series swaps but am not familiar with older accords. I am beginning to think maybe there is a diff head on it or valve cover if that is even possible any input would be great appreciated thanks

OK if it is an F22B2 head then it should be a SOHC 16 valve Non VTEC with the spark plug tubes to the rear of the head.

What does his valve cover say on it?
Is it SOHC or DOHC? VTEC or Non VTEC?
What configuration are the exhaust ports 0-00-0 or 0-0-0-0?
Are the spark plugs along the front or back of the valve cover?

I know for a fact you can get the exact one you are looking for on e-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

hey Ik this is an ancient post, but currently going through the same problem and as that link is dead, hopefully one of you is still active. Valve cover says 16 valve, and exhaust config is 0-00-0, also spark plug ports are in rear, tried getting the gasket for car specifically doesn’t fit. Assuming cover or head was swapped. That appears to be a f22a(1)(4)(6) valve cover.

so I just tried what I think to be a f22a1, I got the Honda part code and ordered it that way and that didn’t fit, 12030-PT0-000 this is the one i tried and didn’t work But realizing now if you think it’s an a1 that wouldn’t work anyway.

According to your exhaust manifold description, it is a f22b2 engine. You can always check diagrams on majestic Honda.

sorry that was a typo I meant to say f22b2 is what I tried, I’ve tried from multiple different part stores and even went to local honda shop and got one for a b1 vtec as I had someone tell me before I had it idk, this is my first Honda and my experience was limited with cars before anyway( done a valve cover gasket, vanos and hg on a BMW e36). But this has been a pain. If needed I can post a pic of engine bay. Will take a look at majestic Honda can’t say I’ve heard of it.

Hmmm. You can always check the engine code which would be stamped on the block to the left of the exhaust manifold, down from the distributor. Gl

Okay so from what I can see the 22a1 and b2 gasket would be the same maybe im
wrong, if so the product code is the same as ones I’ve tried already that didn’t work.
