h22 EK 97 hatchback RUNNING 14.6 at 95MPH?????
I have a 97 ek hatch with a h22 JDM swap in it. I got headers/straight pipe exhaust/Cold AIR/Chip ECU but not tune yet." Shouldn't I be at least in the low 14's. My 60FT was 2.4. I'm disappointed at this h22 EK.

My time was a 14.09 @ 98mph 2.225 60' with a .2 reaction
this was with the h22a4 tho, the low compression h motor.
this was in a ej8 full interior.

PS @ OP:
First off you're not tuned, so you're not getting the maximum you can out of the engine - do that first, it's crucial. I wouldn't even be going full throttle to the redline without a tune but that's just me. Secondly, you're overspinning off the line, and probably losing some traction in 2nd too. Drag the clutch just a bit longer and give it about 75% of the throttle ur giving it now - you can punch it once ur sure the tires bite in. If you don't launch right with the H22 it's just a smoke show. I've seen it way too many times.

PS: 10,100th post. Wish I saw it when it hit 10,000, woulda liked to note which ricer I was bashing for trying to install a VAFC or something

Iv'e always been know to get in the holes faster then out.
If it makes you feel any better, i have zero money, im so broke i cant pay attention.

when i hit that 14 im pretty sure i had no juice. my 660 was too low for juice.

. Just put KYB's all around on the EJ8 and an adjustable camber kit in the rear b/c I was getting camber wear
. Dammit.
