where did you shift at? my car weighs 100 lbs less, and i'm trapping at 99, so you're not too far off. you should be able to hit low to mid 14's, but don't expect to drive your car to its fullest potential right off the bat. it'll take some passes before you get it all down right.

is 190 really that bad? i thought it was supposed to be 210.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by boosted96midorihatch &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">15 psi in them launching at 4000 k anything lower and my car bogged and shifting at 7500 k </TD></TR></TABLE>

7500 k, lol (7500 * 1000 = 7,500,000 rpm's). anyways, is that 7500 on the stock tach? if so, you should check and see how accurate that really is. Mine is about 700 rpm's off by 7500, so I rev my stock tach to 8k or so. Yours may not be off that far (they are all different), so find out before how far off it is before you go out and try revving that high, but its a good possibility its off.

you absolutley cannot say anything like that based off a compression test that you didnt do.

there are so many variables when doing a compression test. engine temp, if all plugs were removed, if throttle was open, if fuel was disabled, how many cranks.

a compression test is a quick test for a general IDEA if there is something seriously wrong. his numbers arent that low and you saying its rings immediatley is flat out wrong.

if you think something is wrong with the engine go have a leakdown test done, but i would start with the basic maintance before you do anything, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, air filter, etc.

That compression isn't bad. As long as they are within 15 of eachother. Now if it was 140 across, there's a diff story. Although the higher compression the better.

well it is a usdm h22..but you shoould get some bf drag radials..that would drop them 60 fts..and gutt that car out....you could be hitting mid to low 14s.

get a better ecu unless that p72 has been chipped,. a stock p72 is a good explenation of why your time and mph suck. practice can get it better as well, but get the right tuning na d you will see gains.

P13 or chipped P28. The p72 can run the motor, but the ignition maps and fuel maps are different. The JDM P13 has a speed limiter, the USDM does not, although you won't hit the limiter in the 1/4.

also the p72 runs super lean at low rpm, as in 16:1, plus it has a bad flat spot in power usually from abotu 3500-5500 rpm too.
anyway like the guy above jsut said the best ecu for that engine unchipped is the p13.
i personally run chipped p28's on my cars and the ones i set up for customers as well.

Then your chip sucks or there is another problem.

You should be running mid 14s at the worst with a stock P13.

A stock P72 is junk. Think about it, it's meant for a motor .4 liters less that has a completely different VTEC engagement, fuel requirements and timing requirements. Get a socketed P28, a converted/socketed P06 and take it to your local Uberdata/Crome tuner. For the cost of a chipped ECU, you'll have a much better running motor.

my car is 2280 lbs without me... my 60fts' were 2.1, and i run 13.80 trapping at 101 mph...

I have yet to run on my azenis, I just got them. My motor is internally stock with bolt ons. AEM intake and a Skunk throttle body, chipped P28, stock header.

Do you have an LSD tranny?

i was running my jdm h22 in a 92 civic si hatch, ran 13.8 & 13.9 @ 101-102(azenis) all day. i timed in 100 degree weather, 70 degree weather, strip out interior or not. all same time as above. my chip on the p28 was an custom h22 map. dyno the car w/ performance clutch, home made coldair intake, and the chip p28 ecu. i made 182 hp and 153tq.

you need more practice because your car should hit 13s flat.
