are they interchangable?

I see so many companys making cams for the D16z but few make 'em for my D16y and if they do they want a core.

I have like 3 (stock) D16z cams sitting in my garage I could give them for a core but I'm not sure if they're basically the same or what.

...or could I even get a cam for made for a D16z and put it in the D16y or would it just not fit or work?

the d16z6 cam is 5 deg off as opposed to the y8 cam (i forget if it was 5deg adv or ret) but you can use a cam gear to get the z6 cam to work in the y8, zex is releasing a cam for the y8, i think crower has a cam for the y8 also
