Default B18b, B18b1, B18A1

ok whats the difference between these three enngines. I got a b18a1 enginge, tranny and axels, so i wanna know what else i nees to swap it into my 94' del sol.
at hybrid honda garage they say that a b18b1 is a direct swap in-so now you see why i need to know the difference.

B18A1 is obd-0. the distributer and fuel injectors have are different. you need the 92-95 distributer, alternator, and fuel injectors. the cam grind is different also. i beleive the B18A is rated at 130hp and the b18b is rated at 140hp.

Also if you have the tranny that came with the b18a it won't work with your car because it’s a cable tranny, you need to get a hydro-to-cable converter or sell it and get a hydro tranny.

yes you can use your stock wiring harness. you can use your ecu if it is from a non vtec sohc motor(temporarily), use your sohc injectors, and all you need to do is get a hydro tranny, distributer and alternator. go axe around in the Hybrid forum....
