Proportioning valve???
I ordered a Prop valve from ebay....it was said to come off an 1995 si i assumed that it would be stamped 40/40 but it is stamped 30/40 can someone verify for me... if this is the correct prop valve or would i have to email the seller and return it???
well a 40/30 obviously isnt a 40/40.
If you're trying to obtain a 40/40 its more then likely going to be coming out of an integra.
If you're just trying to get a rear disk swap working properly, i've read about a few people who say that their 40/30 valves get the job done.
But as far as experience, i cant say.
goodluck

if it isnt stamped 4040 you got beat. unless it never said it was a 4040 and you just assumed it was (that actually happened to me once when i made the mistake of buying 4 door mirrors for my coupe
just go to the junkyard and get one off any integra 90 and up without abs. I got one for a finski
I have rear disks and my stock prop valve and it brakes no problem though, it just engages a little further down then it should but works fine. what probably doesnt help is my beat pads and warped rotors

As far as I know, EG SI never came with 4040.
And my memory is vague on this, but 3040 sounds right for an eg si, I think I saw these numbers on a hatch valve.
It doesn't actualy matter what car the valve comes out of, as long as it's stamped 4040.

yeah i don't think any of them did either, at least some of the Si's (92 for sure) use the same small rotors that the DX uses. Integras use larger front rotors and calipers, this is where the 4040 prop valve comes into play.
