gearshift issues
the gearshift on my manual tranny ek has lost that slickness and "feel" that it once had, it is now wobbly and loose , not very nice.
is suspect that some sort of bushing has given up the ghost ,can someone point me in the right direction as to what needs replacing

Re: gearshift issues (nightshift147)
Well... your gonna have to crawl under your car and check it out. On the shifter side there is a bushing and two bolts holding the shifter up to the car. On the car side there is one end that attaches to the transmission and the other end has a round bushing on it. I'm guessing that your bushings are worn. If you replace them go with some energy suspension bushings, you should be able to find them for about $18 shipped from a vender on here and when coupled with a short shifter makes a hell of a difference.
