Default mini-me: where do I start?

OK I blew my head gasket on my D16A6. SO I bought a Z6 head to do a mini-me. The head looks like it's been cleaned and has been sitting for a while. A friend of mine told me to clean it with solvent and then put some cam lube on it and slap it on the motor with all new gaskets. Does this sound like a good idea? I don't know where to start with this project. What should I clean the head with and what should I do to it before I put it on the motor?
thanks

I also have the Z6 intake manifold. Can I use this with my swap? I'm going to use my stock Si ECU for now until I can get a Zdyne 1 wire conversion ECU.

NM you said d16a6 missed that. so yeah you just need rpm switch and new head gasket from 92-95 SOHC VTEC del sol i think. and then some patience

Those if you who have done this swap(?), did you need an impact wrench?

Had an impact wrench, but it didn't help with the crank pulley bolt. It was handy for the tire lug nuts though.
Invest in a nice breaker bar and 20" 1/2 inch extension. Oh.. and a nice 1 1/4" - 3ft long galvanized steel pipe will come in handy too. But yeah.. Start with a search. Lots of people have been doing the swap lately.
