This is my first post on this forum, so here goes!
Recently, I was hit by a boat trailer and it put a crease into my front bumper cover.


As you can see there is a small crease and the paint is scratched a bit, but that is the extent of the damage. I'm curios to know if the same sanding filling and painting procedures that would apply to a polyurethane cover are the same as to the procedures that apply to any other part of the car body. I read the excellent pinned guide about the procedures, but didn't see mention of non metal parts, so I figured I'd ask.

Ive used that as a filler.. with the normal body work procedures.. and never had a problem yet.. for years on several cars..

 

Would that make a difference that my cover is not fiberglass?

 

no it wouldnt make a difference... works well on bare metals too

 

Would it be better to use instead of bondo? I ask because I have never done this before, and bondo is noticeably cheaper.
